El Hormiguero's successful mountain lofts and nest houses are now available for purchase in prefabricated, modular structures.
You or your guests can live "outside the box" in your location of choice, as this structure is designed to adapt to all types of terrain: mountains, lagoons, rivers, beaches, forests, fields, etc.
Without the need for traditional construction and with a contemporary aesthetic. A construction concept that combines functionality, design, and freedom in one place. Ideal for those looking to build a retreat without building everything from scratch.
Unlike other modular housing companies, the installation of our lofts and nest houses:
- Does not require a prepared access road
- Does not require tractor-trailer trucks
- Does not require a crane
- Does not require flat terrain
This means that with just a pickup truck, a car, some tools, and four people working on the installation, you can have your loft or nest ready!
Lofts
All elements are manufactured off-site and assembled on-site, similar to screwing together a large piece of furniture. Since everything is designed to be handled, no large equipment such as tow trucks or cranes is required.
The skeleton of the loft's steel structure is placed on pre-set concrete footings. The exterior panels are insulated sandwich panels, clad with corrugated metal on the outside and wood-applied panels on the interior surfaces (wood types optional). The system is assembled over the steel structure. The aluminum windows and doors are double-glazed, and the roof is another type of insulated sandwich panel clad with painted corrugated steel. Furniture, fittings, and interior fittings are optional.

Casa Nido
All elements are manufactured off-site and assembled on-site, similar to screwing together a large piece of furniture. Since everything is designed to be handled, no large equipment such as trailer trucks or cranes is required. There is the option of pouring the slab on-site, or paneling the floor and placing it on pre-established concrete footings.
The exterior panels are insulated sandwich panels, clad with wood shingles on both the exterior and interior surfaces (wood types optional). The system is assembled using an external metal frame. The wooden windows and doors are double-paned, and the roof is made of another type of insulated sandwich panel clad with galvanized and painted corrugated steel. Furniture, fixtures, and interior fittings are available as an option.
